How Much Does a Wedding Photo Booth Cost? Prices, Cost Factors and Alternatives
Renting a photo booth sounds like a fixed price, but it is not: one provider advertises a low starting price, the next a complete package. Here you will see which price ranges we found in a market check of German rental companies, what drives the price and what a QR-code alternative costs. Prices in the UK, the US and elsewhere differ — ask providers near you for a quote.
How much does a wedding photo booth cost?

Please note: these are prices that providers currently publish, not a guarantee. For your wedding, always request a quote with date, place and duration.

These factors set the price
- Rental duration: the longer the booth runs, the more it costs; there are often packages for a set number of hours.
- Printing: instant prints with photo strips cost more than a purely digital booth where the pictures only arrive online.
- Props and backdrop: costumes, signs and a custom backdrop often cost extra.
- Travel and setup: the distance to the venue and the setup and teardown feed into the price.
- Attendant: a rental with a person on site costs more than one without.
- Date: popular Saturdays in wedding season go faster and can cost more.
What to look for in a quote
- What is included in the price: hours, prints, travel, setup, attendant?
- Do you receive the photos digitally, and in what quality?
- How much space and what power supply does the booth need at your venue?
- What happens in case of a breakdown or cancellation?
The alternative: a QR gallery
Instead of a station where guests line up, every guest can shoot with their own phone. With snaplounge they scan a QR code, with no app or account, and all photos land in one shared gallery. More on the photo booth alternative page and in the comparison photo booth vs. photo app.
The plans at a glance: Free costs €0 (15 guests, 50 photos) and is meant for trying things out. Pro costs €59 (100 guests, 5,000 photos, 6 months of storage). Premium costs €89 (300 guests, 10,000 photos, 12 months of storage). Current prices are always on the Pricing page.
A QR gallery brings the pictures of all your guests; instant prints and a props station are what a booth adds. If you love both, combine them: the booth for the fun, the gallery for every moment of the evening.
How to get more photos without a photo booth
The QR code works when guests see it. Print it on table cards and give guests little missions with a photo challenge. You will find more ideas for your wedding under Wedding.
